Using Earth’s interest rate swap is akin to using most of the vaults in DeFi. The only thing users need to understand is that each interest-rate swap product consists of multiple products in the form of independent vaults. These vaults have different risk-return configurations, and assets in the vaults must be deposited separately.

Subscription Period: The period during which both the fixed tranche investors and variable tranche investors can deposit or redeem their assets.

Epoch Period: The period during which the tokens are locked in the vault, after the subscription period.

Fixed Tranche:
The portion of the vault that accrues stable yield for the duration of the epoch.

Variable Tranche: The portion of the vault that receives all excess overflow yield from the fixed tranche, with leverage applied, at the end of the epoch.

Earth Interest Rate Product: A collection of vaults composed of a fixed and variable tranche, built on top of an approved yield-bearing asset.
